Withdrawals
Withdrawals are limited to free collateral.
Withdrawal Rules
- Only the account owner can withdraw
- Only available margin can be withdrawn
- Committed margin behind active orders or open positions cannot be withdrawn
What Reduces Withdrawable Balance
Your withdrawable amount can be lower than your total account value because of:
- Open positions
- Resting orders
- Realized losses
- Funding payments already applied to margin
Protocol Flow
At the protocol layer, withdrawals call withdrawMargin. The account converts the internal margin value back into the relevant collateral units and transfers funds to the owner. In the current closed beta, that collateral asset is USDC.
Before You Withdraw
Check that:
- No active order is still reserving margin you expect to withdraw
- The position you want to reduce is already closed or partially closed
- Your available margin remains above the amount you want to remove
